Cannabis Facility Construction Transforms Distressed Tinley Park Restaurant Property into Recreational Cannabis Dispensary
Cannabis Facility Construction (CFC), a national, full-service, cannabis design-build construction firm, is proud to announce the completion of the Ascend Tinley Park dispensary for Ascend Wellness Holdings, Inc. (AWH). This adult-use cannabis retail project is one of 14 dispensaries CFC has constructed for AWH including locations in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood and an upcoming dispensary in Cincinnati, OH.
“We are proud to be part of revitalizing a distressed real estate asset by converting a shuttered restaurant property into a thriving cannabis dispensary. This building is now once again bringing economic value to the Tinley Park community,” said Andy Poticha, Founder & CEO of Cannabis Facility Construction, the design-build firm that oversaw the project’s design-build construction.
The new dispensary sits in a standalone property that was once a popular Chili’s restaurant and the “Dugout” sports bar. The 4,900-square-foot space is located at 16200 South Harlem Avenue in Tinley Park, a south suburb of Chicago. To transform the space into a cannabis dispensary, CFC executed a complete interior and exterior renovation and rebrand in keeping with the high-quality style the Ascend brand is known for. The renovation included new lighting, custom-milled wood walls, multimedia display screens, illuminated product display cases and flexible point-of-sale stations. Additionally, the building now includes a state-of-the-art security system, a custom mural by a local artist and expanded parking.
A true partnership to benefit the community
Ascend and the City of Tinley Park worked closely together to ensure that significant improvements were made to the property that add value to the local community including additional parking and a striking exterior mural. The dispensary is open to the 21+ public and offers a wide range of cannabis products and a welcoming environment for all visitors.
A leader in serving the design-build construction needs of the cannabis industry since 2015, Cannabis Facility Construction has built more than 90 cultivation centers, processing laboratories and retail dispensaries customized for the needs of medical and recreational cannabis clients in 14 states.
